Sinkumunchis School - Pisac
The Sinkumunchis school in Pisac is born from an initial project between the farmer community of Chahuaytire and Sinkumunchis co-founder Gonzalo Garcia (you can learn more about the Chahuaytire project here).
After the conclusion of this initial project, the school was moved to Cuyo Grande, with the hope of supporting a larger number of students. In the Pisac district there are 12 farmer communities with an estimated population of 9,000 people.
Sinkumunchis’ school in Pisac, with more than 200 players registered, today involves kids and young adults from the Cuyo Grande, Chahuaytire, Ampay, Sacaca, and Amaru communities.
We have launched an initiative to provide transportation for our players with the local bus drivers. Many of these people are parents of the school’s students and live in the community. Our players can hop on one of their buses and get to training using a paid bus ticket provided by Sinkumunchis.
